High Sierra Media was founded by Joe Dondelinger, a lifelong photographer whose creative foundation was shaped outdoors. Introduced to photography at a young age by his father, Scott, Joe spent countless days hiking and exploring the Sierra Nevada, learning to see light, composition, and atmosphere through nature.

Snowboarding later became a defining influence, immersing Joe in mountain culture and pushing him into videography. At a young age, he launched his first production company and produced multiple snowboard films, developing a cinematic style rooted in movement, storytelling, and environment. Following in his father’s artistic footsteps, Joe continued refining his craft through landscape and astrophotography, deepening his understanding of light, timing, and place.

That outdoor-trained eye is what sets High Sierra Media apart today. Joe brings the same creative approach used to capture wild landscapes into real estate, tourism, and commercial projects, showcasing properties, destinations, and brands with depth, emotion, and a true sense of place. His work goes beyond documentation, creating imagery that helps audiences feel connected before they ever arrive.
